When you place an order through our website (www.pennysmeats.co.uk), we collect some personal information about you to ensure we can complete your order successfully and keep you in the loop with your orders progress. For order processing it is necessary that we know your name, email address, delivery address, credit/ debit card number, card expiry date and the security code from the back of your card. In addition to this we also request to know a telephone number in unlikely circumstance of having to urgently contact you of an issue with your order. We may pass this onto our delivery staff if there are issues with this stage of the order. If you would prefer for us not to do this please let us know. Any request of information will take 28 days to receive, from the date of request, and in certain circumstances up to 90 days. You will be contacted in any case of delay within the first 28 days. In these circumstances you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office and we will notify you of this right. If you feel that any information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete please contact us so that we are able to make amendments.

As a customer you can ask for us to delete your personal data, however we can refuse this if we need to keep (i) to comply with legal obligations, (ii) in relations to the exercise or defence of any legal claims, (iii) where your account has been involved in fraudulent activity and (iv) where abusive behaviour towards anyone involved with Penny's Meats has taken place linked to your account. As you will have bought food products from Penny's Meats we will retain your details for a period of no longer than three years from the date of your last delivery. The reason for this is because our products have a shelf life and will need to ensure that we are compliant with all food safety auditing body requirements. Your details will be removed within three years of receiving a verified request, unless we have a reason as outlined above to retain your details. You have a right to move, copy or transfer data from our organisation to another and this could be done within 28 days of request. However, we will refuse any information that is commercially sensitive to Penny's Meats. To ensure that we have the best options available for you on our websites we may look at previous purchases or anything you have shared or viewed on our social media pages. This method is know as 'profiling' and we are willing to stop this at anytime if you contact us.
